Security Officer

We are seeking a dependable and vigilant Security Officer / Armed Security to join our team in Flint. This schedule combines regular security patrol duties AND armed coverage. Schedule & Pay Thursday--Saturday: 6:00 AM--2:00 PM -- Security Officer $15.00/hour Sunday--Monday: Armed Security Supervisor -- $22.50/hour The selected candidate will understand that performing armed security is a significant responsibility requiring sound judgment, professionalism, situational awareness, and strict compliance with company policies, training, and applicable laws. Responsibilities - Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security. - Utilize surveillance equipment, including CCTV, to observe and report suspicious activities. - Conduct regular inspections of facilities and grounds to identify potential security risks. - Implement loss prevention strategies to protect company assets. - Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents requiring law enforcement intervention. - Provide first aid and CPR assistance when needed. - Manage conflicts effectively using conflict management techniques. - Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and actions taken during shifts. - Maintain compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to security operations. Experience - Valid CPL - Familiarity with surveillance systems and loss prevention techniques is advantageous. - Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable. - Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. - Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
