SEC Reporting Supervisor

SEC Reporting Supervisor LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with an established company to identify an SEC Reporting Supervisor for its accounting team. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys leading a team while remaining hands-on with financial reporting, month-end close, audit support, and special projects. The SEC Reporting Supervisor will oversee key accounting and reporting activities, develop team members, and partner across the organization to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team responsible for monthly financial reporting across multiple oil and gas assets
• Establish priorities and goals that support broader accounting objectives
• Review and approve journal entries
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and analyze account variances
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Support accurate reporting in accordance with GAAP and company policies
• Assist with annual audit activities and supporting documentation
• Partner with commercial and contract administration teams
• Develop and maintain accounting procedures and process workflows
• Prepare ad hoc financial reporting and analysis
• Lead special projects and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Previous accounting supervisory or leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large amounts of financial data
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and responsibilities
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus
