Payroll Accountant

Payroll Accountant Location: Pasadena, CA | Hybrid Employment Type: Temporary to hire, Full-Time Compensation: $36.00-$43.00 hourly

LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring a Payroll Accountant for a nonprofit organization in Pasadena. This hybrid position combines high-volume payroll processing with general ledger accounting and month-end responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly payroll for 350+ employees
• Review payroll deductions, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and reconciliations
• Prepare payroll and general ledger journal entries
• Perform account reconciliations and assist with month-end close
• Research payroll discrepancies and maintain accurate payroll records
• Support audits and accounting projects

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on payroll experience
• Experience processing full-cycle payroll for 100+ employees
• General ledger, journal entry, reconciliation, and month-end close experience
• Advanced Excel skills
• Blackbaud Financial Edge experience preferred
• Nonprofit accounting experience preferred

Pay Details: $36.00 to $43.00 per hour
