Billing Specialist

LHH is seeking an experienced Billing Specialist for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Coppell, TX. This position will focus on preparing customer draw invoices, reviewing contracts, and ensuring accurate and timely billing. The ideal candidate will have previous billing experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple billing deadlines. Construction billing experience is a plus, as is familiarity with Sage 300. Advanced Excel skills are essential, particularly Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs, and candidates should be prepared to discuss how they have used these functions in previous roles during the interview process.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer draw invoices and required billing forms according to established schedules and job requirements.
• Review and audit contracts to ensure billing accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
• Create invoices and post billing information into Sage.
• Coordinate workflow and communication between outside sales representatives and customers to ensure timely and accurate draw completion.
• Monitor billing schedules and follow up on outstanding information needed to complete invoices.
• Assist with the preparation of reports and various accounting, compliance, and inventory requirements.
• Provide customer service and respond to routine and non-routine billing inquiries.
• Maintain accurate records and support general accounting processes as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous billing experience is required.
• Construction billing experience is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of draw billing and invoice preparation.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Must be able to explain how Pivot Tables have been used in previous positions.
• Experience with Sage 300 is a plus, but not required.
• Familiarity with Procore, GCPay, or Textura is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.

Pay Details: $26.44 to $28.84 per hour
