Offshore SCADA Technician @ Array Petroleum, LLC

This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing SCADA systems, PLCs, instrumentation, and industrial communication networks to ensure safe and reliable operations.

Key Responsibilities

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair SCADA software, hardware, and field automation equipment. Modify and troubleshoot PLC programs using Allen-Bradley and ABB Totalflow PCCU. Configure and maintain HMI interfaces and operator control systems. Support offshore communication systems. Calibrate and configure transmitters, flow computers, control valves, and other field instrumentation. Ensure automation systems comply with BSEE, USCG, and company cybersecurity standards. Provide rapid technical support during equipment failures and process upsets to minimize production downtime. Maintain accurate maintenance records and support preventive maintenance initiatives. Education & Experience Technical training or degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, Electrical Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of automation or instrumentation experience in the oil and gas industry. Offshore production experience is strongly preferred. Technical Skills •Experience with SCADA platforms such as Wonderware. Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming experience (Allen-Bradley, modbus). 4-20mA control loops and DC electrical knowledge and experience troubleshooting. Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols, including Modbus, and TCP/IP. Familiarity with instrumentation calibration and process control systems. Physical Requirements Ability to work in remote offshore environments. Ability to lift equipment and work in varying weather conditions.
