Mechanical/Piping Designer

JOB SUMMARY

Position DescriptionHGA is currently seeking a skilled Mechanical/Piping Designer in our Baton Rouge office. This roleinvolves working on complex and unique engineering design projects, transforming general conceptsinto detailed and constructible design packages. The ideal candidate will have strong technicalexpertise, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Interpret and analyze general designs provided by engineers Prepare detailed designs and construction drawing packages for engineering approval Develop piping layouts based on project scope and vendor information Review vendor equipment drawings and coordinate with engineers on pipe stress analysis Ensure technical accuracy and constructability of final designs Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams across the organizationRequired Qualifications

Requirements:

Technology training in drafting and design; Associate degree preferred Minimum 10 years experience in piping design within the Petro-Chemical industry Creation and training of design teams including 3D modeling software Training/configuration, scan data acquisition & use, scan processing best practices, Isometricsoftware configuration and generation. Maintain and configured Plant3D/Cadworx piping material specifications and projectsettings/configuration. Strong computer skills, including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel Previous experience in a consulting engineering firm preferred Must be located within commuting distance of Baton Rouge, LA
