Original job description

Who We Are

LeadsOnline provides crime-solving technology to law enforcement agencies across the globe. The company’s suite of investigative solutions includes data, analysis and ballistic identification tools that help solve a range of cases - from missing property and people to gun crimes and other violent offenses. Founded in 2000, LeadsOnline now serves approximately 5,500 U.S. law enforcement agencies and public safety organizations in more than 80 countries. From the crime scene to the courtroom, our innovations are designed to enhance investigative capabilities, improve case outcomes, and streamline operations to ensure justice can be delivered. LeadsOnline is headquartered in Plano, Texas, and has a large office presence in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Join Our Growing HR Team!

This is a senior, hands-on HR role for a professional who has already operated at the Senior HRBP or HR Manager level inside a lean, high-growth technology company. You will partner directly with business leaders while also personally owning meaningful pieces of our international HR footprint and total rewards program. This is a build-and-execute seat, not a large-company specialist role - you should expect to roll up your sleeves alongside strategic work.

Are you a strategic, pragmatic HR professional who is equally comfortable advising leaders and doing the detailed work yourself? At LeadsOnline, we live by our values - Service, Ownership, Energy, and People. We’re seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to serve as a trusted advisor to assigned business leaders while also driving compensation and international HR programs as we scale. This role works closely with our company’s leaders, the Chief Legal Officer & the VP of HR, along with partnering day-to-day with a peer group of experienced HR Business Partners.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking an experienced HR professional who has spent their career inside PE-backed or venture-backed, high-growth technology companies in the 100–700 employee range - organizations where HR wears many hats and builds programs from the ground up. LeadsOnline doesn’t operate with standalone centers of excellence for compensation, international, or HRBP functions - every member of our HR team is expected to own and execute this work directly. We need someone who has personally done this work, not directed a specialist team through it.

What You’ll Do (Your Key Responsibilities)

Business Partnership & Coaching:

Serve as a trusted HR Business Partner to designated leaders and teams, providing hands-on coaching on performance, organizational, and talent matters.
Guide managers through the full employee lifecycle - hiring, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
Act as a point of contact for employee relations matters, resolving issues with sound judgment and discretion.
Serve as the point person for new hire onboarding, partnering with managers to deliver a well-organized first week, complete with milestone check-ins to ensure the new employees are set up for success.

Total Rewards & Compensation:

Own day-to-day administration and continuous improvement of job architecture, leveling, and compensation structures.
Support compensation benchmarking, merit cycles, and incentive plan design in partnership with Finance and HR leadership.
Help build scalable, equitable pay practices as the company grows - from offer approvals through annual comp planning.

International HR:

Support HR operations, compliance, and employee relations for LeadsOnline’s international employees and entities, including Canada and other global locations.
Partner with Legal and Finance on international employment matters, statutory requirements, and cross-border people programs.
Help standardize policies and practices across jurisdictions while respecting local requirements.

AI-Enabled HR Operations:

Actively use AI tools to streamline HR workflows - from drafting communications and job descriptions to analyzing people data and preparing reports.
Identify opportunities to bring AI-driven efficiency into recurring HR processes (e.g., onboarding, policy Q&A, compensation modeling).
Champion smart, practical adoption of AI within the HR team and the broader organization.

Culture & Team:

Champion and operationalize a culture grounded in servant leadership, ownership, and long-term value creation.
Contribute as a hands-on member of a small, fast-moving HR team, pitching in wherever needed, regardless of title.

Who You Are (Your Qualifications)

Experience & Education:

8+ years of progressive HR experience, including meaningful time operating at the Senior HRBP or HR Manager level.
Required: experience at high-growth companies, where you personally owned compensation, international, and HRBP work rather than routing it to separate centers of excellence - that’s how our HR team operates.
Strongly preferred: experience at a PE-backed or venture-backed, high-growth technology company with approximately 300–500 employees.
Strongly preferred: hands-on experience supporting international HR (e.g., Canada, EU, LATAM, or other global employee populations).
Strongly preferred: hands-on experience with compensation / total rewards (job architecture, market pricing, incentive design).
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR a plus.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Demonstrated, active use of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, HR technology AI features) to increase personal and team efficiency - this is an expectation of the role, not a bonus skill.
Comfortable operating without large support infrastructure and comfortable building processes rather than inheriting them.
Strong judgment and discretion in employee relations and confidential matters.
Excellent communicator who can flex between strategic conversations with leaders and detailed, hands-on execution.
Track record of thriving in ambiguity and fast-changing environments.

Travel Requirements

The role is based in our Plano, Texas office and is a hybrid position (details discussed during interviews). Role may involve occasional travel to other company offices, including Montreal, for in-person collaboration.

Why You’ll Love It Here

Be Part of Something Big: Contribute to a rapidly growing mission-driven company that supports law enforcement agencies worldwide.
Supportive Team Culture: Collaborate with high-energy professionals in a values-driven environment.
Professional Development: As we grow, so do you. This role offers a clear path to broaden scope across HR, compensation, and international people programs, driven by energy and enthusiasm.
Make a Difference: We are a company with a great mission. We help law enforcement investigators advance more cases faster. Your work will matter. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring we operate smoothly and ethically as we scale, consistent with our vision of providing the best products and services to the law enforcement community.

What You Can Expect From Us:

Benefits

As part of our comprehensive benefits package, LeadsOnline provides the following to eligible employees:

Employee paid Medical, Dental, and Vision

Generous paid vacation

401k with company matching

HSA with employer contributions

FSA

Supplemental coverage such as accident, critical illness, hospitalization, life

Short-Term and Long-Term Disability

Parental Leave

We serve with Energy, diligence, and persistence. We deeply believe the work we do makes a difference in the lives of our users, the communities they protect, and the victims they serve. Guided by Ownership, we continually push to make our products better and to make each other better.

At LeadsOnline, we take our work seriously but not ourselves. You’ll find joy, camaraderie, and fun in everything we do. That’s Service, Energy, Ownership, and People in action.

LeadsOnline is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate against applicants based on race, religion, color, disability, medical condition, legally protected genetic information, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, gender identity or expression, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions), age, veteran status or other legally protected characteristics.
