Paraprofessional

NWLE is seeking a caring, dependable, and student-centered Paraprofessional to support students and teachers in the elementary school setting. This position may serve in a Kindergarten, general education, or Special Education classroom based on school needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with classroom instruction and daily activities
• Support students individually and in small groups
• Help maintain a safe, positive learning environment
• Assist students with personal hygiene needs
• Supervise students during transitions and school activities
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student success
• Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• GACE parapro certification or equivalent college credits
• Experience working with children
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude
