Billing Specialist

A privately owned wholesale electrical distributor with more than 45 years of industry experience is hiring a Billing Specialist in Burr Ridge, IL! This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing functions. The ideal Billing Specialist is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining accurate financial records. Epicor Eclipse experience is required. What’s the job? - Process and verify inventory invoices to ensure accurate and timely supplier payments

• Establish and maintain vendor records within Epicor Eclipse
• Process overhead invoices, including utilities, rent, and employee expense reports
• Review vendor statements, investigate discrepancies, and communicate payment updates
• Monitor open orders and investigate past-due shipment dates
• Process vendor rebates, special pricing agreements, and related adjustments
• Review customer invoices for accuracy, including key account billing
• Research and resolve customer billing, pricing, and payment discrepancies
• Process credit card payments and accurately apply payments to outstanding invoices
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past-due balances
• Prepare customer statements, collection notices, and account reconciliations
• Partner with Accounting, Sales, and Operations to improve billing and accounting processes What’s needed? - High school diploma or equivalent required
• Epicor Eclipse experience required
• Experience with ERP or accounting software
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and account reconciliation
• Advanced attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Associate degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred
• 2+ years of experience in billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or bookkeeping preferred Key Details - Compensation: $55,000–$65,000 annually
