Temporary Medical Assistant Were hiring a dependable, patient-focused Medical Assistant to support a busy clinical team in Mobile, AL. This is a temporary position expected to run through December 31, 2026. Job Responsibilities: - Prepare patients for exams; record vital signs and medical histories; update electronic health records. - Assist providers with exams, procedures, treatments, medications, and immunizations within scope of practice. - Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing. - Provide patient instructions and help coordinate referrals, testing, and follow-up care. - Maintain clean, stocked, and ready exam rooms. - Support scheduling, phone calls, insurance verification, and other clinic needs as assigned. - Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA, safety, and organizational policies. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent. - Medical Assistant certification preferred; non-certified candidates must have at least 1 year of recent medical assisting experience. - Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and EHR systems (experience with AdvancedMD, EPIC, or Athena is a plus). - Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills. Compensation and Benefits: - Pay: $16.00-$19.00 per hour (based on experience) - Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (may add Saturday clinic hours as needed) - This is a temporary position expected to run through December 31, 2026. - After meeting the qualification requirements, employees are offered through Landrum: Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance and matching 401k.
