Title I Reading Instructor

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

•Valid Ohio Teaching License •Possess much patience for and enjoyment of children •Ambitious, high – energy person •Ability to maintain professional conduct, appearance and manner •Organized individual with ability to use initiative and creativity in stimulating student learning •Excellent communication skills •Ability to encourage active participation of students and to maintain an effective learning environment •Excellent classroom management techniques

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

•Elementary reading endorsement •Masters degree •Experience as an Elementary School teacher •Experience in working with special needs students •Familiar with and capable of utilizing computer applications to enhance instruction •Knowledge of various reading methods •Previous remedial instruction experience •Experience with response to intervention •Experience with data analysis and data driven decision making
