Pharmacist

Small, locally owned, independent pharmacies looking for a temporary part time or full time pharmacist. We have 2 pharmacies located in Tonasket & Oroville, WA in the beautiful Okanogan Valley. This position will provide needed coverage at both locations while a pharmacist is on leave with potential to stay on after leave is completed. We're looking for someone who wants to make a connection with their customers and make a difference in the community. Our pharmacists have envious schedules with weekends off and at least 1 weekday off every week. We also offer paid medical benefits, paid vacation, and retirement plan contributions for our full time pharmacists. New grads welcome!

Responsibilities

• Review and execute physician’s prescriptions checking their appropriateness and legality
• Organize the pharmacy in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and faster
• Listen carefully to customers to interpret their needs and issues and offer information and advice
• Provide assistance other medical services such as injections, blood pressure/ temperature measurements etc.
• Keep records of patient history and of all activities regarding heavy medication
• Keep abreast of advancements in medicine by attending conferences and seminars and collaborating with other healthcare professionals
• Comply with all applicable legal rules, regulations and procedures
• Perform drug utilization reviews accurately for patient records
• Assist in all areas of the pharmacy with ability to identify tasks that need to be done and help auxiliary staff accomplish these tasks

Requirements

• Valid WA State Pharmacist License or ability to apply for one
• Thorough understanding of dosage administration and measurement, chemical compounds, medical brands etc
• Good organization skills
• Excellent communication skills with a customer oriented approach
• Integrity and compassion
• Doctor of Pharmacy preferred, Bachelor's Degree accepted
• Certified Immunizer preferred
• Must be in good standing with OIG
