Original job description

Lakes Region EMS is an Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance service with both rural and urban service areas just northeast of the Twin Cities metropolitan area. We operate bases in Rush City, North Branch, and Lindstrom, Minnesota, as well as St. Croix Falls and Milltown, Wisconsin. Our team takes great pride in delivering exceptional, compassionate care to our communities. Our ambulances are staffed by highly trained Paramedics and EMTs equipped to manage traumatic injuries, sudden illnesses, and complex medical emergencies. We are seeking to expand our clinical department with a Clinical Development Coordinator role.

The Clinical Development Coordinator will play a critical role in building the confidence of prehospital clinicians and supporting the mission and goals of the organization. This includes coordinating and implementing clinical education programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing learning outcomes and opportunities for current team members. To be successful, you should have a solid working knowledge of prehospital care, strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to promoting excellence in education.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate, develop, deliver, and evaluate clinical education programs, workshops, and training opportunities.

• Serve as a primary educator for clinical development initiatives.

• Collaborate with educators, trainers, and subject matter experts to develop effective, engaging learning experiences.

• Assist with curriculum development, including lesson plans, educational resources, and updates based on current standards, best practices, and emerging trends in EMS.

• Evaluate program effectiveness and participant outcomes, using feedback and data to support continuous improvement.

• Coordinate education logistics, resources, materials, equipment, scheduling, and participant needs.

• Build collaborative relationships with internal and external partners to identify educational needs and support learning opportunities.

• Maintain knowledge of current trends, research, and best practices in EMS education and professional development.

Individuals who are successful at Lakes Region EMS foster ownership and responsibility in shaping the work experience by:

• Demonstrating a growth-based mindset, with a desire to continually learn and grow personally, professionally, and clinically.

• Bringing enthusiasm, professionalism, and a positive attitude to their work.

• Taking initiative to identify needs, solve problems, and lead by example.

• Communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, in a way that positively represents Lakes Region EMS.

• Building strong, constructive relationships and engaging in productive accountability conversations with coworkers and organizational partners.

• Representing Lakes Region EMS professionally and positively with coworkers, patients, community partners, and external stakeholders.

• Working collaboratively as a team member and contributing to the success of others and the organization.

• Engaging in respectful, productive conversations and addressing concerns directly rather than contributing to workplace drama, negativity, or gossip.
