Information Technology Manager

City of Laconia, New Hampshire Information Technology Manager The City of Laconia is seeking an experienced and innovative Information Technology Manager to lead the City's Information Technology Division. Reporting to the Finance Director, this leadership position is responsible for overseeing network operations, cybersecurity initiatives, technology projects, vendor management, strategic planning, and IT support services across municipal departments. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing technology solutions that support City operations while ensuring the security and reliability of critical systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the City's IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and technology operations.
• Lead technology planning, budgeting, and project implementation.
• Supervise IT staff and coordinate technology services across departments.
• Oversee vendor relationships, software and hardware acquisitions, and system upgrades.
• Develop policies, procedures, and training programs to support City technology goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible experience managing complex information technology and/or network projects.
• Three years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Valid New Hampshire driver's license.
• Microsoft, CCNA, and/or CompTIA certifications are preferred but not required.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
