LA28 does not provide relocation assistance for any positions. If you are based outside the Los Angeles area, we still welcome your application - we value talent from all geographic backgrounds and want to hear from you if you are able to work on-site in LA.

Role Purpose

You will build how accessibility works across the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games, shaping venues, services, and systems before they exist. Leading the Planning and Delivery team, you will turn accessibility standards into practical plans for venue infrastructure, temporary overlay, and Games-time operations. You will collaborate closely with the Head of Accessibility, Delivery Functional Areas, and city and venue partners. This role suits a pragmatic builder who brings teammates together across functions, navigates complexity, and makes sound decisions with incomplete information.

Key Responsibilities

· Embed accessibility in venue design, overlay, and operational planning across competition and non-competition venues with Delivery Functional Areas.

· Integrate accessibility into Games-time services and digital systems, including ticketing, accreditation, and spectator and athlete services.

· Ensure compliance with accessibility laws and International Paralympic Committee (IPC) guides, coordinating risk mitigation with venue partners.

· Serve as the senior escalation point for accessibility issues and deliver readiness reports to Games leadership.

· Lead and mentor Managers and Associates, cultivating a collaborative, solutions-oriented accessibility team.

Required Competencies

· Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, urban planning, event management, or related field; or 7 years of equivalent experience in accessibility planning.

· 7+ years of relevant experience in accessibility planning, infrastructure delivery, venue operations, mandated Event Accessibility Services, or large-scale event delivery.

· Working knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), California Building Code (CBC), universal design, and mandated accessibility services.

· Experience reviewing technical drawings and venue plans to identify accessibility gaps and develop compliant solutions.

· Experience leading teams and complex cross-functional projects, with strong communication and risk management skills.

Valued Experience

· Certified Access Specialist (CASp) or equivalent accessibility credentials.

· Familiarity with the IPC Accessibility Guide.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.

· Accessibility experience at major sporting or international events.

· Demonstrated commitment to disability inclusion, universal design, and equitable experiences.

What We Offer

· Shape accessibility for the first Paralympic Games hosted in Los Angeles.

· Lead a team with visible impact across venues and Games-time services.

· Partner with teammates and city and venue partners across Functional Areas.

· Contribute to a mission guided by inclusion, co-creation, excellence, and boldness.

What This Role Means for the Games

In 2028, Los Angeles welcomes the Paralympic Games for the first time. Your work will help every athlete, spectator, and teammate experience the Games fully, leaving Los Angeles a lasting legacy of accessible, inclusive venues.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

· Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office.

· The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.

· The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment.

· Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods.

· Perform other duties as required; the role will evolve over time and may include operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

· Conduct site visits and accessibility assessments across Games venues, including active construction sites and outdoor terrain, with appropriate accommodations and safety measures.

· Travel locally between LA28 offices, venues, and stakeholder locations, with occasional domestic and international travel.

Compensation

The annual base salary range for this position is $105,000 - $140,000. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28's operational business needs and applicable law.
