Custodian/Maintenance
Kulanu Academy is seeking a dependable Custodian/Maintenance employee to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, participants, and staff.
Responsibilities:
• Clean classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas; replenish supplies.
• Remove garbage and recycling.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs, including painting, patching, and basic plumbing and electrical work within training and authorization.
• Inspect facilities and equipment and report safety concerns or major repair needs.
• Maintain outdoor areas, sidewalks, and parking lots.
• Assist with moving furniture and setting up and cleaning up for events.
• Follow safety procedures and complete other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Valid New York State driver’s license required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 2-3 years custodial, maintenance, or general repair experience.
• Ability to safely use cleaning equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
