Original job description
KRI is looking for an experienced International Shipping Specialist who can prepare shipping documents for our low-volume manufacturing facility. The job is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8-5 at our office in Fort Collins that is moving to Wellington. Pay is $22-26/hour with solid benefits including a generous 401k and HSA payments for HDHP medical enrollees. Qualified candidates have experience in preparing shipments for domestic and international destinations, in addition to knowledge of US government regulations for import and export. We prepare 10-20 shipments per day, ranging from small domestic packages to large multi-order, multi-pallet international shipments. If you love corresponding with customers around the world via email, don't want to sit at a computer all day, and naturally keep things tidy, this might be an ideal job for you.
Who we are
Privately held KRI is a pioneer and leader in the manufacturing of broad-beam products, including commercial ion sources, plasma sources, and power supply controllers. We value employees who are principled, discerning, and good-humored.

Remain up to date on import/export compliance and regulations for various countries throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. You'll receive inbound packages and freight in addition to handing over or loading outbound shipments. You'll scan shipment documents and maintain our customer records. You'll also receive inbound packages throughout the day, and just when you think you have a free moment, there's stock levels to check, and areas to tidy.
Primary responsibilities include:

- Responsible for arranging customer-specified carriers and freight forwarders.
- Classify all exports with the correct Schedule B # and HTS Codes.

- Confirm all daily shipments are complete in time for daily pick-ups.
- Prepare shipping quotes as requested.
- Available to answer all incoming calls & questions related to shipping.
- Main point of contact for all shipping questions, issues & concerns.
- Help with inventory counts and supplies as needed.
- Create purchase orders.
- Order shipping supplies and packaging materials.
- Occasionally package parts for shipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of shipping area.
- Occasionally create and close work orders.
If this sounds like something you might enjoy and are reliable with a strong attention to detail, we'd love to hear from you.
