Senior Machine Operator - 1st Shift

The hourly range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.

Shift: Monday – Thursday, 5:00am – 3:30pm (overtime on Fridays based on business needs)

Location: Wabasha, MN

What Machine Operation contributes to Cardinal Health Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment.

Responsibilities

• Operate light-duty bench and floor-type machine tools, and automation equipment
• Set up and adjust machining machines, and perform maintenance on machines
• Check work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances
• Handle machines that may be numerically controlled
• Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
• Review of output by work lead or supervisor
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the Supervisor with or without accommodation

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• 2-4 years related work experience and/or training, preferred

• Works on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring judgment in resolving issues

• Adheres to all quality guidelines
• Works with limited supervision.
• Work occasionally involves review of output by work lead or supervisor
• May provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members
