We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team on a full-time basis in Chicago. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and a thorough understanding of the construction process. As a Construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the success of our projects by providing accurate and detailed cost estimates to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates
• Analyze project scope and identify potential risks and opportunities
• Prepare detailed material and labor cost breakdowns for each project
• Use industry-standard software and tools to create and manage estimates
• Present estimates to clients and address any questions or concerns
• Continuously monitor and adjust estimates throughout the project lifecycle
• Keep track of industry trends and changes in material and labor costs to ensure accuracy of estimates
• Participate in bid meetings and negotiations with clients and subcontractors
• Assist in developing project budgets and schedules
• Communicate effectively with project team members to ensure a smooth and successful project execution

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs
• Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, Procore, or PlanSwift
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
