Position Summary

KM Engineering is seeking a highly organized and motivated Proposal & Business Development Coordinator to lead and coordinate our proposal process while supporting business development, marketing, and client relationship efforts.

This position will work closely with KM’s principals, project managers, and technical staff to develop high-quality proposals, Statements of Qualifications (SOQs), RFQs/RFPs, and bid packages for public- and private-sector clients. The position will manage proposal deadlines, coordinate technical content, maintain proposal resources, track opportunities, and improve the systems and technology used throughout the proposal process.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer and communicator who is detail-oriented, technically savvy, self-driven, and comfortable coordinating multiple people and priorities. Experience within civil engineering or the broader architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry is strongly preferred. Just as important, this person will be a collaborative, team-oriented individual who is willing to step outside their primary responsibilities, lend a hand where needed, and contribute to the overall success of the business.
