Substitute Maintenance

Summary We are seeking a reliable and skilled individual to fill the role of Substitute Maintenance. This temporary position is essential for ensuring the upkeep and functionality of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general maintenance and repair tasks, demonstrating the ability to work independently and effectively under varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and systems as needed.
• Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
• Assist in the troubleshooting and repair of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize downtime.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and ensure a clean work area.
• Document maintenance activities and report any significant issues to management.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure a safe and functional environment.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
• Be available for on-call duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training or certifications preferred.
• Proven experience in general maintenance, repair work, or a related field.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals and safety data sheets.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
• Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary.
