Original job description

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Technical Project Manager in Greenwood Village, CO.

Summary:

This role goes beyond a traditional Project Manager, Scrum Master, or Technical Analyst position. The individual will serve as a central point of coordination across business stakeholders, development teams, architecture, and leadership, helping drive initiatives from initial intake through production delivery. The ideal candidate is highly proactive, takes ownership, enjoys solving complex problems, and can see the bigger picture across systems, teams, requirements, and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own initiatives from intake through production delivery
  • Proactively identify risks, blockers, dependencies, and gaps
  • Drive conversations, decisions, and next steps rather than simply facilitating meetings
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, team capacity, and commitments
  • Provide clear visibility into project status, risks, dependencies, and roadmap progress
  • Connect information across multiple teams, systems, and requirements to understand the broader business objective
  • Translate business and technical requirements into actionable user stories
  • Gather information from multiple sources and identify missing requirements or dependencies
  • Participate in architecture and design discussions
  • Understand both technical and operational impacts when evaluating solutions and decisions
  • Quickly learn new platforms, systems, and business processes
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies and sprint planning
  • Support estimation and prioritization activities
  • Identify and remove delivery blockers
  • Help maintain team accountability and delivery momentum
  • Partner closely with development teams to ensure requirements are understood and work is progressing as expected
  • Understand API-based integrations, system interactions, and data flows
  • Experience working in a hybrid role involving technical project management, Scrum/Agile delivery, and technical analysis
  • Experience translating business and technical requirements into detailed user stories
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, system integrations, and data flows
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize information and see the broader picture
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills
  • Comfortable working in a modern, cloud-native software development environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex initiatives involving multiple teams and dependencies
  • Ability to work effectively with developers, architects, managers, directors, and business stakeholders
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and professionally challenge assumptions when appropriate

Candidates do not need expert-level experience with every technology listed below but should have exposure to modern software development and delivery environments:

APIs & Integrations:

  • REST APIs
  • GraphQL APIs
  • API troubleshooting and testing
  • Data and system integrations

Development & Delivery Tools:

  • Jira
  • Confluence
  • Splunk
