  • Integration and synchronization with Azure Active Directory
  • Network policies and private access patterns
  • Encryption and data trust controls
  • Ensure Snowflake runs in a fully private network posture (no public access)
  • Partner with security teams to meet enterprise and regulatory standards

Networking & Cloud Integration:

Work closely with Azure cloud platform teams on:

  • VNets, private endpoints, DNS, routing
  • Secure connectivity patterns

Governance, Observability & FinOps

Establish platform-level governance, including:

Implement FinOps practices, including:

  • Cost governance by warehouse, workspace, and query
  • Usage controls and visibility across teams
  • Hands-on experience implementing Snowflake from the ground up
  • Strong experience with Snowflake on Azure (required)
  • Experience with Snowflake on AWS (preferred)
  • Deep hands-on experience with Terraform, especially modular design

Strong understanding of:

  • Cloud networking
  • Identity and access management
  • Encryption and data trust principles
  • Experience partnering with enterprise cloud platform and security teams
  • Clear understanding of platform engineering vs application or analytics development

Nice to Have:

  • Datadog or similar observability tooling

This role is not:
