Original job description
Kforce's retail client in San Francisco, CA is looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager, Stores Technology to lead and support the delivery, rollout, and adoption of technology solutions across a large-scale retail store environment. This role will be hybrid in SF.
Summary:
This is a highly cross-functional role responsible for ensuring that store-facing technology initiatives are successfully launched, operationally sound, scalable, and positioned to enhance both the associate and customer experience. The Senior Product Manager will serve as a critical liaison between Store Operations and multiple Product and Technology teams, helping translate new capabilities into successful pilots and full-scale store rollouts.
We are looking for someone with strong product management and retail technology experience who understands how to successfully introduce new technology into a complex store environment. This is a highly visible role suited for someone who can operate horizontally across an organization and ensure that technology developed by multiple Product teams is successfully implemented and adopted at the store level.
This is not a traditional Product Manager role focused solely on owning one product or roadmap. You will have the opportunity to work across multiple technology domains and play a key role in turning new capabilities into real-world solutions that improve store operations and the customer experience.
- 5-8+ years of experience in Product Management, preferably in retail or store technology environments
- Strong understanding of in-store systems (POS, clienteling, workforce tools, etc.)
- Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional product initiatives
- Experience with feature rollout planning and execution at scale
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to translate technical concepts into operational impact (and vice versa)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly collaborative and influential
- Operationally minded with strong attention to detail
- Customer- and associate-centric thinker
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and complexity
- Strong ownership mindset with bias for action
- Experience working with omnichannel retail systems
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product lifecycle management
- Experience partnering with Store Operations or Field teams
- Background in change management or large-scale deployment programs
The ideal candidate will have experience with:
- Large-scale retail or store technology
- POS and checkout technologies
- Store systems and operational workflows
- Technology pilots and enterprise-wide rollouts
- Go-to-market and change/readiness planning
- Cross-functional Product, Engineering, and Operations partnerships
- Translating technology initiatives into practical solutions for frontline users
- Managing multiple initiatives, stakeholders, and dependencies simultaneously
