Senior Audit Associate

Kforce has a client in Sarasota, FL that is seeking a Senior Audit Associate to join a collaborative audit team supporting a diverse portfolio of businesses. This role offers exposure to financial, operational and strategic audit initiatives, along with opportunities to support acquisitions, integrations and other value-add projects. This role is ideal for an earlier-career CPA looking to broaden their experience beyond traditional financial statement audit and gain exposure to SOX, operational audit, M&A activity, finance integration and cross-functional business initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Manage audit projects from planning through completion using a risk-based approach
• Develop audit programs, project plans and risk assessments
• Perform SOX/internal controls testing and operational/process reviews
• Partner with finance, accounting and business stakeholders across multiple industries
• Support SOX assessments for newly acquired businesses
• Participate in finance integration, separation and other strategic initiatives
• Identify process improvements and provide actionable recommendations

Compensation & Schedule:

• $80,000-$100,000 base salary, based on experience
• 17.5% annual bonus
• Hybrid schedule: 2 days per week onsite in Sarasota, FL
• Travel: approximately 1 week per month, April through December
• Target start: early January, with flexibility for an earlier start
• Active CPA license required
• 2-4 years of relevant audit experience
• Public accounting experience strongly preferred
• SOX/ICFR and public-company audit experience preferred
• ASC 606/revenue recognition experience preferred; SaaS exposure is a plus
• Strong communication, analytical and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple businesses and functional teams
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and project-management skills
• Ability to manage audit projects through the full project lifecycle with moderate oversight
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships across finance, accounting and business teams
• Ability to identify control deficiencies, business risks and process improvement opportunities
• Comfortable working across multiple businesses, industries and functional areas
• Ability to work 2 days per week onsite in Sarasota, FL
• Ability to travel approximately 1 week per month from April through December

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
