Original job description
Kforce has a client in West Valley City, UT that is seeking a technically strong, process-focused PLM/ERP Solution Engineer to improve how product data, business processes, and enterprise systems connect throughout the product lifecycle. This role will help shape the flow of information from early product development through production release, with a primary focus on PLM and ERP environments such as Oracle Agile and Oracle EBS. The ideal candidate understands both technology and business process, can work comfortably across technical and functional teams, and knows how to simplify complex workflows in a regulated manufacturing environment. This person will also identify opportunities to use automation and AI to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
What You'll Do:
- Design and improve end-to-end processes supporting product development, product release, and new product introduction
- Own and enhance integrations between PLM and ERP systems, ensuring accurate movement of formulas, recipes, routings, specifications, and item master data
- Improve change-control processes, including approval workflows, release readiness, costing impacts, and product or labeling requirements
- Query PLM and ERP systems directly to investigate issues, validate system changes, and determine root causes
- Maintain data integrity, traceability, and process controls required within GMP, FDA, and other regulated environments
- Identify opportunities to apply AI, automation, and reusable technology solutions to reduce manual work and improve consistency
- Lead cross-functional technology and process initiatives from initial requirements through implementation and adoption
- Provide technical guidance to other engineers while contributing to architecture standards, best practices, and roadmap planning
- 5+ years of experience supporting business process improvement, enterprise applications, systems implementation, or related technology initiatives
- Hands-on experience with PLM platforms such as Oracle Agile and ERP environments such as Oracle EBS, including workflows spanning multiple enterprise systems
- Experience supporting process manufacturing, including formulation, recipes, batch production, or similar manufacturing models
- Experience working within GMP, FDA, or another regulated environment, including formal change-control and audit requirements
- Ability to identify weaknesses or risks within existing processes and recommend practical improvements
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use system and business data to solve complex or unclear problems
- Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives involving multiple business and technical stakeholders
- Ability to mentor others and influence technical direction without relying solely on formal authority
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Experience with PLM modernization, migration, data cleansing, data mapping, or platform transformation
- Knowledge of continuous-improvement methodologies such as Lean, Kaizen, BPMN, or SIPOC
- Experience supporting organizational change, including communication, training, and user-adoption efforts
- Familiarity with SOX controls or similar compliance frameworks
