Kforce has a client that is seeking a Manager, F5 and Application Delivery Operations in Greenwood, CO.

Overview:

The client is looking for a Manager, F5 and Application Delivery Operations to lead the team responsible for the availability, performance, and security of enterprise application delivery and web application firewall (WAF) platforms. This individual will oversee a team of onshore engineers and offshore managed-services partners, ensuring consistent, SLA-driven service delivery while driving modernization across traditional F5 BIG-IP environments toward automated, software-defined, and SaaS-based architectures.

This role combines technical leadership, people management, and operational ownership. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in enterprise network infrastructure and F5 technologies, along with experience managing technical teams, vendor relationships, incident response, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Own the end-to-end operational health and delivery of the enterprise F5 environment, ensuring availability, performance, and incident-response SLAs are consistently met
Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing team of F5 engineers through hiring, mentorship, performance management, and career development
Oversee onshore engineering resources and offshore managed-services partners to ensure consistent service delivery and accountability
Establish and maintain operational standards, including runbooks, standard operating procedures, change governance, escalation processes, and incident management practices
Serve as the senior escalation point for critical P1/P2 incidents, coordinating internal engineering teams, vendors, and managed-services partners through resolution
Partner with IT leadership to develop technology roadmaps, capacity plans, budgets, and modernization strategies for the F5 platform
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field
8+ years of experience within medium-to-large enterprise network or infrastructure environments
2+ years of direct people-management or technical team leadership experience
Prior hands-on engineering experience with F5 BIG-IP technologies strongly preferred
Proven experience managing technical teams across onshore and offshore or managed-services delivery models

Strong working knowledge of F5 BIG-IP technologies, including:

Local Traffic Manager (LTM)
DNS/Global Traffic Manager (GTM)
Web Application Firewall (WAF/ASM)
SSL offloading and application delivery
Disaster recovery and business continuity
Experience overseeing SLA-driven operations, incident management, problem management, and change governance within an enterprise environment
Familiarity with ITIL-aligned processes and ServiceNow or similar IT service management platforms
Experience managing vendor relationships and third-party managed-services providers

Technical Skills & Preferred Experience:

Familiarity with F5 Distributed Cloud and SaaS-delivered WAF solutions
Understanding of AWS cloud networking and hybrid infrastructure environments
Exposure to Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA) and Palo Alto security technologies
Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools and scripting, including Python, Ansible, and Git
Experience leveraging AI and machine-learning insights for infrastructure monitoring, performance optimization, and predictive operations
Ability to provide technical direction, evaluate architecture and design decisions, and lead incident response without needing to serve as the primary hands-on engineer

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
