Original job description

Kforce has a client in NYC that is seeking a Global Tax Process Manager for a 100% remote role.

Overview:

This is a hands-on role for someone who combines strong international indirect tax/VAT knowledge with SAP S/4HANA and Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE experience. The consultant will troubleshoot complex transactional tax issues, investigate system configuration and data flows, test solutions, document defects, and partner with technical and finance teams to drive issues through resolution. This is not a traditional project management or income tax compliance role. The ideal candidate enjoys getting into the details, investigating problems, and determining why systems are producing incorrect tax results.

Responsibilities:

Investigate VAT, withholding tax, and other transactional tax issues within SAP S/4HANA and ONESOURCE
Troubleshoot tax determination and configuration issues across global transactions
Test transactions within SAP and ONESOURCE sandbox environments
Review customer, vendor, material/product, mapping, GL, and tax configuration data
Identify root causes of incorrect tax calculations or system behavior
Understand tax-related data flows and integrations between SAP and ONESOURCE
Develop test scenarios and document expected versus actual results
Draft change requests and clearly document defects for technical teams
Coordinate issue resolution across OTC, PTP, RTR, Tax, SAP, and technology teams
Validate fixes and document evidence of successful resolution
Research previous implementations and existing documentation to independently resolve issues
Proactively communicate priorities, progress, risks, and blockers
5+ years of relevant tax, tax technology, or finance transformation experience
Strong international indirect tax/VAT experience
Experience with international withholding tax and transactional tax determination
Hands-on experience with SAP, preferably SAP S/4HANA
Strong experience with Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Determination
Understanding of SAP tax tables, mappings, master data, and transaction flows
Experience troubleshooting SAP/ONESOURCE tax integrations
Experience creating and executing test scripts and documenting defects
Ability to identify configuration issues and effectively communicate required changes to technical resources
Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to operate independently within a fast-moving global environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.

This job is not eligible for bonuses, incentives or commissions.

Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, protected veteran status, or disability status.
