DevSecOps Engineer

Kforce has a client that is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer in Orlando, FL. This position is 4 days onsite, Monday through Thursday, 10-hour days.

Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on DevSecOps Engineer to support enterprise infrastructure and engineering teams through automation, CI/CD enablement, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and secure deployment practices. This role is ideal for someone who has personally designed, built, implemented, and troubleshot automation solutions across primarily on-prem infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain infrastructure automation using Ansible and Terraform
• Develop Ansible playbooks, roles, inventories, and reusable automation
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, patching, upgrades, and environment setup
• Troubleshoot automation failures and configuration drift
• Maintain reusable, version-controlled IaC
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Git-based platforms such as GitLab or GitHub
• Develop automated build, test, validation, security scanning, and deployment workflows
• Configure and troubleshoot pipeline infrastructure and runners/agents
• Integrate infrastructure automation into CI/CD pipelines
• Create repeatable deployment processes across physical, virtual, and containerized environments
• Develop automation and operational tooling using Python, Bash, and/or PowerShell
• Automate system administration, patching, monitoring, reporting, and infrastructure workflows
• Build reusable tools and self-service automation for engineering teams
• Troubleshoot automation across Linux and Windows environments
• Support and automate primarily on-prem enterprise infrastructure
• Automate virtual machine lifecycle management and infrastructure provisioning
• Work within VMware or comparable virtualization environments
• Integrate virtual infrastructure with automated deployment workflows
• 3-5+ years of DevOps, DevSecOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure automation experience
• Strong recent hands-on Ansible experience
• Strong Terraform/Infrastructure as Code experience
• Hands-on experience building and troubleshooting Git-based CI/CD pipelines
• Recent experience supporting on-prem infrastructure
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware
• Strong Linux and/or Windows systems knowledge
• Proficiency with Python, Bash, and/or PowerShell
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work effectively across infrastructure, engineering, development, and security teams
• Experience with containers and/or Kubernetes preferred

Candidates should be able to clearly explain what they personally built, automated, or implemented, including architecture, technical decisions, challenges, troubleshooting, and results. Strong candidates will have recent examples of taking automation from concept through design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
