Data Project Manager

Kforce's client is seeking a hands-on Senior Project/Program Manager with proven expertise in driving, managing, and owning data-focused projects (Databricks) within financial services organizations. This is a long-term contract with potential for contract-to-hire. Candidates must be able to work on-site in Boston, MA 4 days per week.

The client needs a highly driven leader who creates urgency and keeps momentum moving with challenging stakeholders. The right person will:

The role spans business stakeholders, Product, Data Engineering, Technology, and source-system teams in a complex data environment.

Responsibilities:

• Drive enterprise data workstreams from requirements through production readiness
• Gather business and data requirements and identify data sources
• Coordinate data onboarding, including Databricks
• Drive source-to-target mapping, business rules, and data definitions
• Manage data validation, reconciliation, lineage, and data quality
• Proactively identify and resolve gaps in data availability, ownership, or readiness
• Coordinate dependencies across business, application owners, SMEs, and Data Engineering
• Drive UAT, sign-off, and production readiness
• Manage roadmaps, risks, issues, and dependencies in Jira
• Report status and readiness to senior stakeholders
• Force decisions and ensure every open item has an owner, deadline, and next step
• Proven experience as a Senior Data Project/Program Manager or Technical Program Manager
• Strong financial services experience, ideally in banking or capital markets
• Significant experience leading enterprise data and analytics programs
• Experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks (preferred), AWS, Snowflake, or comparable
• Data sourcing and onboarding experience
• Requirements gathering and source-to-target mapping
• Data lineage, data quality, and data governance
• Data validation and reconciliation
• UAT and production readiness
• Strong Jira, roadmap, risk, and dependency management experience
• Strong executive and senior stakeholder communication skills
• Experience working across business and highly technical engineering teams
• Ideal background includes AWS data warehouses, Databricks, Snowflake, APIs, MDM, data governance, Agile/SAFe, and extensive financial services data program experience
• Leadership is critical: a results-driven track record of owning delivery, holding teams accountable, and pushing stakeholders to decisions

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
