Controller

Kforce's client in the Kenosha, WI area is looking for a Controller. This role will manage internal accounting controls and process timely tax filings/deposits. This position will also oversee balance sheet accounts, engage and influence stakeholders, perform cashflow forecasting, and review or update annual budget & analysis. This role reports to the VP of Finance.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
• 8 years of progressive experience managing Finance and Accounting in a manufacturing environment with Lean accounting experience
• 2-4 years of hands-on full-stack software development experience
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs
• Experience writing SQL queries using joins, filters, grouping, and sorting
• Experience with Git and modern IDEs such as IntelliJ, VS Code, or Eclipse8
• Proficient in Microsoft programs with advanced knowledge of Excel
• Strong foundation in Java and Spring Boot
• Working knowledge of Angular or React, including components, services, and basic state management
• General knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift
• Understanding of relational databases, indexes, and primary/foreign key relationships
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
• Familiarity with microservices concepts and application logging
• Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud environments
• Exposure to unit testing frameworks such as JUnit or Jest
• Exposure to Kafka, JMS, or AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
