Cloud Migration Program Manager

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Cloud Migration Program Manager in Chicago, IL.

Key Tasks:

• Provide end-to-end program leadership for a large-scale enterprise cloud migration and/or data center transformation initiative
• Develop and maintain the integrated program roadmap, migration strategy, milestones, dependencies, and delivery schedule
• Coordinate application discovery and portfolio assessment activities to establish migration scope, ownership, technical requirements, and migration readiness
• Drive application and infrastructure dependency mapping to identify upstream/downstream systems, integrations, network requirements, data dependencies, and potential migration risks
• Lead the development and execution of migration-wave plans, grouping applications and workloads based on business criticality, technical dependencies, migration approach, and organizational readiness
• Coordinate detailed cutover planning and sequencing, ensuring application, infrastructure, security, network, database, and business teams are aligned prior to migration events
• Manage program-level risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and critical decisions, proactively escalating items that could impact scope, schedule, cost, or business operations
• Partner closely with cloud architects, infrastructure engineering, application teams, cybersecurity, networking, database teams, and business stakeholders to ensure successful technical delivery
• Establish and manage program governance, including executive steering meetings, delivery reviews, RAID management, status reporting, and decision-making processes
• Develop concise, executive-level reporting that clearly communicates program health, progress, risks, financials, dependencies, and decisions required
• Manage complex relationships across multiple vendors, including cloud hyperscalers, systems integrators, managed service providers, and technology partners
• 10-15+ years of IT program and/or project management experience, including leadership of highly complex enterprise technology initiatives
• Direct experience leading a large-scale enterprise cloud migration, data center migration, data center exit, or infrastructure modernization program
• Strong experience working within Azure, AWS, GCP, and/or complex hybrid cloud environments
• Demonstrated experience managing the lifecycle of cloud migration programs, including: Application discovery and portfolio assessment; Application and infrastructure dependency mapping; Migration readiness; Migration-wave planning; Cutover planning and sequencing; Testing and validation; Risk and issue management; Post-migration stabilization
• Experience coordinating delivery across applications, infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, data, cloud engineering, and business teams
• Experience managing hyperscalers, systems integrators, consulting partners, and/or managed service providers
• Demonstrated experience managing program budgets, forecasts, vendor spend, and financial performance
• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure and cloud concepts, with the ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with architects and technical engineering teams
• Strong program governance capabilities, including RAID management, dependency management, milestone tracking, executive reporting, and escalation management
• Strong executive communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate technical program details into clear business-level updates
• Strong leadership, communication, facilitation, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to manage large, complex programs involving multiple internal and external delivery partners
• Ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions within a fast-paced, highly matrixed enterprise environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
