Billing & Collections Analyst

Kforce is seeking a Billing & Collections Analyst for a client in the Saint Louis, MO area.

Summary:

This position will support an assigned portfolio of B2B customers and perform responsibilities across billing, collections, Accounts Receivable, and the broader Order-to-Cash process. The ideal candidate will have hands-on billing and collections experience, strong follow-up skills, and the ability to research and resolve customer account issues while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Billing & Collections Analyst will manage billing and collections activities for an assigned portfolio of B2B customers
• Prepare invoices and maintain customer billing and account information
• Review purchase orders, billing requirements, pricing, payment terms, and related customer information
• Support third-party portal billing and customer/vendor setup
• Perform daily collections outreach and document payment commitments and follow-up activity
• Research and resolve credits, deductions, short payments, disputes, and other collection issues
• Process or research refunds, credits, rebills, and credit notes
• As a Billing & Collections Analyst, you will assist with cash application by researching unapplied payments
• Complete assigned month-end activities and reconciliations
• Respond to internal and external billing and Accounts Receivable inquiries
• Partner with internal teams to resolve customer and account issues
• Support process improvement, documentation, training, and cross-training initiatives
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience preferred
• 3-5 years of billing, collections, Accounts Receivable, or related experience
• B2B or contract billing experience preferred
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, PivotTables, and formulas
• Basic understanding of U.S. GAAP as it relates to billing and Accounts Receivable
• Ability to research issues and identify root causes
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across teams
• Experience with Workday, NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar systems is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
