Responsibilities
About the Team As an RF/Microwave Design Engineer, you will be part of Keysight Labs' mm-Wave Subsystems Design Group. Our team develops industry-leading mm-wave front-end products addressing a wide range of applications, including AI/ML, 5G, 6G, Automotive Radar, and Aerospace & Defense, in close collaboration with our Centers of Excellence and Industry Solutions Groups. In this expert-level role, you will provide technical leadership for advanced RF/mm-wave subsystem development and help shape the future direction of our technology portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership in the architecture and definition of next-generation products, owning all phases of the RF/Microwave design process from concept through production. Drive design decisions to ensure products meet performance, manufacturability, reliability, and qualification requirements.
- Design and develop novel RF/Microwave signal-conditioning solutions across a variety of cutting-edge technology platforms, establishing best practices and influencing technology roadmaps.
- Develop and validate advanced electromagnetic models to accurately characterize complex RF and microwave subsystems, serving as a subject matter expert for critical design challenges.
- Define test strategies and lead characterization, validation, and troubleshooting of RF/mm-wave designs and prototypes using advanced measurement techniques. Drive complex root-cause analyses, guide corrective actions, and ensure performance objectives are achieved across product generations.
- Provide technical direction within multidisciplinary project teams, mentoring engineers and influencing product and system-level tradeoffs to create innovative solutions that meet internal and customer requirements.
- Partner with internal and external manufacturing organizations to prototype designs, resolve technical production challenges, and successfully transition products into high-volume manufacturing.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, contributing to long-term innovation strategies and the development of next-generation RF/mm-wave products.
