Our ~15,000 employees create world-class solutions in communications, 5G, automotive, energy, quantum, aerospace, defense, and semiconductor markets for customers in over 100 countries. Learn more about what we do.
Our award-winning culture embraces a bold vision of where technology can take us and a passion for tackling challenging problems with industry-first solutions. We believe that when people feel a sense of belonging, they can be more creative, innovative, and thrive at all points in their careers.
Join Keysight’s power and general-purpose products team as a hands-on Application Engineer, connecting customer test challenges with practical solutions. You’ll work with customers and channel partners to understand their applications, demonstrate how Keysight instruments can help, and guide customers as they evaluate and use our products. You’ll also build demos and create application notes, technical presentations, training, and webinars that support new product introductions and help grow awareness and preference for the portfolio. Working closely with product management, marketing, and R&D, you’ll bring customer use cases to life, reproduce application challenges, and share insights that help improve our solutions. The work is based in the lab and focuses especially on digital multimeters, arbitrary waveform generators, and data acquisition systems, with opportunities to support power products and take part in customer visits and trade shows.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of technical presentations, application notes, webinars, example code, and demonstrations that show how Keysight products address real-world test applications and support new product introductions.
- Deliver technical presentations and practical training to customers, sales engineers, channel partners, and internal teams, adapting the content to their needs and level of expertise.
- Apply deep product and application expertise to advise on product capabilities, specifications, and performance tradeoffs, helping customers make informed choices.
- Independently investigate complex instrument, measurement, and software challenges; reproduce customer use cases and work with R&D to validate potential product issues.
- Partner with customers and field teams to understand test requirements and recommend suitable instruments, configurations, and measurement methods for the application.
- Travel occasionally to support customer visits, technical training, and trade shows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Typically, 8+ years of relevant experience applying electronic test and measurement products, with the ability to independently solve complex application and measurement challenges.
- Hands-on programming experience in one or more languages such as C/C++, Python, or MATLAB, including writing code to control instruments, automate tests, or develop demonstrations.
- Strong hands-on application expertise with general-purpose electronic test instruments, particularly digital multimeters, arbitrary waveform generators, and data acquisition systems, plus working knowledge of power products such as DC power supplies, AC sources, and electronic loads.
- Proven ability to understand customer test requirements and recommend suitable instruments, configurations, and measurement methods.
- Experience developing technical demonstrations and customer-facing content, such as application notes, example code, training materials, or technical presentations.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts and adapt training for customers, channel partners, sales engineers, and internal teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Keysight electronic test and measurement instruments.
- Experience supporting new product introductions through technical content, demonstrations, or customer training.
- Experience delivering webinars, channel-partner training, or trade-show demonstrations.
