Warehouse Supervisor – Distribution Center Lead
Pay Rate: $26–$28/hour
Location: Groveport, Ohio
Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Distribution Center Lead to support a rapidly growing distribution operation in Groveport, Ohio. Schedule:
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (plus mandatory overtime)
- 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Mandatory overtime and weekend hours may be required based on business needs. Candidates must be flexible and accommodating to changing schedules.
Position Summary:
The Distribution Center Lead is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations while providing leadership and direction to a team of associates. This role drives productivity, maintains quality standards, promotes a safe work environment, and acts as a key liaison between employees and management. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to motivate teams and deliver results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily warehouse operations, ensuring productivity, quality, and customer service goals are met
- Provide coaching, guidance, and support to warehouse associates
- Monitor workflow, staffing levels, and production metrics
- Promote and enforce safety policies and procedures
- Train and onboard new employees
- Communicate shift priorities, expectations, and operational updates
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency
- Assist with inventory control and accuracy initiatives
- Partner with management to address attendance, performance, and employee relations concerns
- Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative team environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing environment
- Prior experience as a Lead, Team Lead, Shift Lead, or Supervisor is preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to motivate employees and hold teams accountable
- Experience with warehouse management systems or inventory systems is a plus (SAP experience preferred)
- Comfortable in a fast-paced setting and spending significant time on the warehouse floor
- Ability to lift, move, and perform physical duties as needed
