Material Handler / Packer - 1st Shift

Pay: $13.50/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. or longer
Note: Weekend availability may occasionally be required.

What you’ll do
As a Material Handler / Packer, you’ll help keep orders moving accurately through the distribution center by:
- Pulling and preparing books and other products for shipment
- Confirming the correct products and quantities are picked for each order
- Using portable scanners and Pick-To-Voice systems to verify picking activity
- Selecting cartons and placing labels in the correct position for scanning
- Inspecting books for quality and packing them securely for shipment
- Recording short shipments and completing cycle counts as directed
- Returning over-picks and mis-picks to the appropriate locations
- Maintaining quality-control reports and meeting production requirements
- Following workplace safety procedures
- Walking and standing for extended periods and regularly lifting up to 50 lbs.
You may be a good fit if you
- Can walk and stand for extended periods throughout your shift
- Can regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
- Are detail-oriented and can follow instructions and safety procedures
- Are comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented warehouse
- Have warehouse, material-handling, or distribution experience (preferred, but not required)
- Can work the 1st-shift schedule and occasional weekends, if needed
