About the Role

The Environmental Services Associate supports the day-to-day operations of housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance to ensure Juniper Communities provides a clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for community members, associates, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily operations and coordinate services with other departments.
• Help supervise Environmental Services associates and maintain high service standards.
• Conduct environmental rounds and inspect common areas, storage rooms, equipment, and workspaces.
• Coordinate routine maintenance, deep cleaning, preventive maintenance, and work orders.
• Ensure adequate supplies and equipment are available and properly maintained.
• Monitor vendor services, including pest control, and ensure work is completed appropriately.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs within personal capabilities.
• Maintain grounds and landscaping, remove litter, and assist with snow removal as needed.
• Follow safety, sanitation, infection control, hazardous materials, and waste disposal procedures.
• Support Juniper’s Green Canopy sustainability program.
• Communicate department needs and operational updates to leadership.
• Assist with budgeting recommendations, special events, and other departmental needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in painting, drywall and carpentry preferred
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid state driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
• Knowledge of maintenance, housekeeping, safety procedures, and applicable regulations preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and help maintain a safe, comfortable community environment.
• Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and carry such weight
