Commercial plumbing technicians install and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, valves, fixtures, drainage, water supply, heating, cooling, and gas systems in commercial and industrial buildings.

They ensure all systems operate efficiently and meet local and national building codes (residential and light commercial work may also be included)

Diagnose plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, low water pressure, or faulty fixtures, and perform repairs promptly to minimize business disruptions. Emergency response to urgent plumbing problems is also a key duty

They work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other tradespeople during new construction or renovation projects to design and implement plumbing systems according to approved plans and specifications

Technicians communicate effectively with clients and staff, explaining plumbing issues, repair options, and preventive maintenance measures. They handle customer complaints professionally to maintain satisfaction and trust
