Responsibilities• Manage returned lease-fleet components from receipt and inspection through refurbishment, testing, inventory, and return to service.

  • Verify documentation, inspect for defects or missing parts, and determine whether to refurbish, evaluate, salvage, or scrap items.
  • Document inspections, photos, repairs, test results, inventory transactions, and dispositions; escalate safety-critical or uncertain conditions.
  • Maintain accurate, traceable ERP inventory and separate uninspected, in-process, held, scrap, and service-ready components.
  • Prioritize work by safety stock, service demand, and fleet needs; disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble components using approved methods.
  • Perform authorized, de-energized motor inspections and tests; refer energized work, electrical repairs, and advanced diagnostics to qualified personnel.
  • Complete required visual, dimensional, mechanical, functional, and basic electrical inspections before releasing approved components to inventory.
  • Follow safety, quality, lockout/tagout, sanitation, contamination-control, and housekeeping requirements; support counts, investigations, improvements, and training.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of mechanical assembly or related experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with hand and power tools, lifting equipment, and measuring instruments.
  • Basic knowledge of three-phase motors, electrical hazards, resistance, continuity, grounding, insulation, and absence-of-voltage verification.
  • Ability to safely perform approved, de-energized motor testing using a digital multimeter and megohmmeter.
  • Ability to read basic mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams, and inspection criteria.
  • Basic computer and inventory-system skills, with the ability to maintain accurate, traceable records.
  • Strong safety awareness, attention to detail, organization, judgment, and problem-solving skills; ability to perform extended hands-on work, lift 50 pounds, use lifting assistance, and wear required personal protective equipment in an industrial environment.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with food processing, packaging, conveying, material-handling, or similar equipment in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
  • Experience with repairable-core, exchange, lease-fleet, aftermarket, or remanufacturing programs and related business systems.
  • Experience inspecting, testing, or repairing motors, bearings, shafts, seals, gearboxes, pneumatic components, pumps, stainless-steel components, or fabricated assemblies.
  • Experience with final inspections, root-cause investigations, forklifts, overhead cranes, or powered industrial trucks.
