About the location:

Sensei Lāna’i, A Four Seasons Resort offers a luxurious adults-only wellness enclave on the secluded Hawaiian island of Lāna‘i. LEAD ESTHETICIAN

Four Seasons Resort Lana'i at Ko'ele is looking for passionate individuals, where you will create exceptional guest experiences, showcase your expertise and enthusiasm, and embody the Golden Rule in every interaction.

The Lead Esthetician provides exceptional skincare and wellness services while serving as a technical leader for the esthetics team. This role supports onboarding, training, quality assurance, and service excellence initiatives, ensuring treatments are delivered safely, consistently, and in accordance with Four Seasons standards. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide advanced esthetic services, including facials, body treatments, makeup applications, waxing, hair removal, and tinting services in accordance with established spa protocols and luxury service standards.
• Ensure proper setup, operation, cleaning, sanitization, and maintenance of treatment rooms, equipment, tools, and supplies to support a safe, hygienic, and exceptional guest experience.
• Educate guests on personalized skincare recommendations, treatment plans, retail products, and service enhancements that support wellness goals and treatment results.
• Serve as a lead resource for the esthetics team by supporting onboarding, training, coaching, practical assessments, and ongoing development of estheticians.
• Maintain and update esthetics training materials, protocols, service standards, and educational resources to ensure consistency and quality.
• Communicate spa policies, procedures, operational updates, and team development needs to spa leadership and team members.
• Facilitate wellness rituals and experiences such as breathwork, sound baths, gong therapy, body scrubs, body wraps, and facial, scalp, and foot treatments.
• Review guest health information and contraindications, educate guests on the safe use of wellness facilities, and promote guest safety and comfort.
• Monitor inventory levels, establish par levels, restock products, and provide ordering recommendations for facial products, retail items, and treatment supplies.
• Prepare and maintain wellness hales, including thermal experiences, amenities, lighting, aromatherapy, and wellness equipment to ensure service readiness.
• Uphold all Four Seasons policies, safety requirements, sanitation standards, and state licensing regulations.

WHAT TO BRING

• Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States legal work authorization in United States
• The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day and scheduled days and times may vary based on need. Holidays and weekends availability is required.
• Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card
• Hawaii State Esthetician License is required
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts
• Advance experience with advanced aesthetic technologies and wellness treatments, including oxygen therapy, cryotherapy, microdermabrasion, LED and infrared light therapy, chemical peels, and other specialized skincare services.
• Advanced ability to train, coach, assess, and validate Esthetician performance through hands-on skills evaluations, treatment test-outs, practical interviews, quality assurance audits, and the development and maintenance of training materials, treatment protocols, service standards, policies, and procedures.
