Inside Sales Representative

Location: Calgary, Alberta Reports To: Branch Manager

BOXX Modular (Canada) rents, leases and sells temporary and permanent modular buildings, including standard buildings ready for immediate delivery and custom-designed solutions. We work with our customers to design and deliver customized solutions, and provide additional services such as delivery and installation, furniture rentals and other add-ons.

We offer a career, not a job, in an environment known for strength, flexibility and brilliance. Like a diamond, we look for people who will grow stronger and shine brighter in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

We are hiring a full-time Inside Sales Representative in Calgary, Alberta. This role is hybrid, with in-office expectations and 20% flexibility to work from home.

The Inside Sales Representative role is the first step in a sales career with BOXX Modular and serves as a training ground to learn about the business, our customers, and company processes, with the opportunity to progress into an Outside Sales Representative position.

The successful candidate will manage customer inquiries, prepare quotations, support sales activities, and collaborate with the Outside Sales team to identify and develop new business opportunities while contributing to the growth of our modular building rental and sales business. This position is ideal for a customer-focused and motivated individual who enjoys relationship building, sales support, lead generation, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Supporting a branch's sales team including creating sales documents and proposals, qualifying customers, researching leads, responding to routine inquiries and information requests, generating reports related to sales activities and revenue data.
Manage customer inquiries and prioritize customer requests that arise if Sales Representative is out of the office.
Present price and terms to customers in accordance with standard company procedures.
Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner, while educating customers about terminology, features and benefits of products to improve product-related sales and customer satisfaction.
Create strong leads via cold calling, by monitoring Journal of Commerce/newspaper reports and site visits.
Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications.
Proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability.
Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product-related sales and customer satisfaction.
Maintain up-to-date profiles of key customers, sales and rental contract documentation within our CRM software.
Contact customers following sales/rentals to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints.
Remain current on consumer preferences, competitor landscapes, changes in local codes and product developments by attending sales meetings, vendor training and trade shows, and/or reading trade journals. Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction.
Build and demonstrate product knowledge of Black Diamond Group's products and key competitive product lines in order to effectively position products. Use this product knowledge to provide technical sales and service support to customers within the territory.

Qualifications and Skills:

1-3 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, sales support, business development, or a related role.
Education in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is considered an asset.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and develop a career in sales.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Professional, positive, and customer-focused attitude.
