This remote, field-based role is ideally located near Birmingham or Montgomery, Alabama, with candidates near Alpharetta or Marietta, Georgia also considered.

You’ll have the independence to shape your territory strategy while collaborating with experienced technical and commercial teams. With hands-on onboarding, product training, and mentorship from an experienced team member, you’ll have the support to quickly build your Desoutter expertise and grow your impact.

Your day-to-day

• Own and grow your territory by developing a strategic sales plan, identifying opportunities, and building a strong pipeline.

• Win new business by prospecting and building relationships with manufacturers throughout the Southeast.

• Expand existing customer relationships by uncovering new applications and growth opportunities.

  • Solve real manufacturing challenges by connecting customer needs with the full Desoutter ecosystem of tools, software, connected solutions, projects, and services.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification and solution development through proposals, negotiation, closing, and follow-up.

Your skills and experience

• 2–3+ years of technical sales, business development, or customer-facing experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment.

• Demonstrated experience developing new business, growing customer relationships, managing a territory or account portfolio, and working toward sales or growth targets.

• Experience with technical or consultative solution selling, including identifying customer needs and positioning value-based solutions.

• Experience supporting or selling into high-volume manufacturing or assembly environments, such as automotive, appliance, off-road vehicle, small-engine, or similar operations, is preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; an associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience will also be considered.

• Knowledge of industrial automation, controls, connected manufacturing systems, or PLC programming is a plus.

We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every single requirement. We value diverse experiences and perspectives and are excited to see what you bring to the role.
