Job Summary Brinker is seeking a Director, Software Engineering & Delivery to lead engineering teams supporting Brinker’s multi-brand Digital Guest Experience (DGE) platform, including Chilis.com and Maggianos.com. This leader turns prioritized work into achievable commitments based on team capacity, technical feasibility, dependencies, and risk. The Director leads day-to-day execution and is accountable for predictable delivery, engineering quality, and reliable releases. Your Key Job Functions

• Lead day-to-day engineering execution, managing priorities, progress, blockers, dependencies, risks, and tradeoffs.
• Own team capacity and delivery planning, turning prioritized work into achievable commitments based on capacity, estimates, technical feasibility, dependencies, and risk.
• Lead and develop the engineering team, setting clear expectations and providing coaching.
• Stay close to the engineering work by participating in technical discussions, reviewing implementation approaches and code, and helping resolve technical blockers.
• Improve delivery predictability using delivery metrics and retrospectives to strengthen estimation, flow, and follow-through on commitments.
• Own quality, CI/CD, and releases, ensuring teams can build, test, deploy, and release software safely and reliably.

What You Bring to the Team

• 7+ years of experience in Software Development, including experience leading engineers as a technical lead, manager, or similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science,
• Strong technical skills and a willingness to remain hands-on, including participating in technical discussions, reviewing code and pull requests, troubleshooting issues, and helping engineers work through blocking issues.
• Experience with Agile software development and iterative delivery.
• Experience establishing and improving automated testing, observability, CI/CD, deployment automation, and release practices using GitHub, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience using engineering delivery and quality metrics to improve predictability, throughput, and software quality.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, including the ability to make tradeoffs, establish accountability, remove blockers, and clearly communicate commitments and delivery risks.
