Family-Owned Market Leader + Growth Mode + Manufacturing Coming In-House + Strong Leadership + Contract-to-Hire with Platinum Benefits
A bit about us:
We're a family-owned manufacturer of consumer chemical products and the market leader in our category. For nearly 50 years we've grown steadily, and today our products are sold through major national retailers, e-commerce and a network of hundreds of dealers and distributors. Our in-house R&D team keeps our products ahead of the industry, and the family brought in a professional, non-family executive team to lead the next stage of growth. We recently opened a second manufacturing and distribution site and are bringing manufacturing in-house in phases after years of relying on contract manufacturers. Our people come from all walks of life and share a commitment to integrity, excellence, selflessness, safety and courage, and we take work-life balance seriously.
Why join us?
• Paid hourly for a 40-hour week, with overtime at time and a half • Platinum benefits from the start of the contract: BCBS medical with a $500 deductible, 75% of premiums covered, dental, vision and 401(k) within the first month • A clear path to hire after a 90-day evaluation • Stability of a long-standing family-owned company, run by a professional executive team, with the energy of a company in growth mode • Help set the planning standard as manufacturing comes in-house and a new site comes online • Work for a leader with deep big-company supply chain experience who will sharpen your skills • A modern, innovative product line backed by in-house R&D and sold nationally • High visibility: leadership relies on this seat every day • People-first culture with good work-life balance and minimal travel (once or twice a year) • A structured 30/60/90-day onboarding plan

Job Summary
The Production Planner plans production, schedules manufacturing orders and coordinates the flow of work across internal manufacturing and multiple contract manufacturing partners to meet customer demand. Our products are assembled from finished components sourced from many suppliers across hundreds of SKUs, so this person aligns every component's timing to decide what runs on the line and when. The planner owns MRP parameters and batch accuracy, keeps inventory records, item usage history and forecasting files accurate, and gives management regular production status updates. The role is central to planning discipline, data integrity and day-to-day supply execution as we bring manufacturing in-house.
What You'll Do
• Execute production plans in APS/MRP systems (e.g., SyteLine), with accurate job creation and scheduling • Align component timing across multiple suppliers and contract manufacturing sites so finished goods come together on schedule • Decide what runs on the production line and adjust schedules for changes in demand, material availability or operational priorities • Own and maintain MRP planning parameters and make sure batches are set up and maintained correctly • Monitor inventory levels, flag potential shortages or imbalances, and escalate risks early • Carry out agreed recovery plans to resolve shortages, backorders and supply gaps • Keep ERP data accurate: BOM setup and updates, item master data, planning parameters and transactions • Handle inventory activity: discrepancy investigations, transfer orders, receipts and adjustments • Maintain capacity and planning data so scheduling stays accurate • Work with internal teams and contract manufacturing partners to make sure production plans are carried out as expected • Communicate across Sourcing, Production, Customer Service, Engineering, Regulatory and Marketing • Provide accurate, timely production status updates to management • Support IBP and planning processes with accurate data and execution updates • Support new product development, packaging changes and product transitions
What You Bring
• 5-7 years of production planning experience, ideally with subcontract or contract manufacturing • Experience coordinating multiple contract manufacturing sites • Strong inventory management, including an understanding of safety stock and replenishment • Manufacturing background with multi-component finished goods (chemical, plastics or CPG preferred) • Strong MRP knowledge, including planning parameters and batch maintenance • Strong ERP/APS/MRP experience (Infor SyteLine preferred; SAP or similar) • S&OP / IBP knowledge and experience • Strong with systems and an operational mindset • Bias for action: makes timely, practical decisions and takes initiative without being asked • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office; Power BI preferred • Able to work independently, take initiative and manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment • High attention to detail, strong analytical skills and clear communication at every level • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business or a related field preferred
