Take the lead in keeping a high-performing engineering operation running at its best! We’re seeking a Permanent Maintenance Manager who combines hands-on technical expertise with strong leadership to improve equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and build a proactive maintenance culture.

This permanent opportunity is ideal for a maintenance professional with 5+ years of relevant experience who enjoys solving complex problems, developing technical teams, and driving measurable improvements in safety, performance, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Lead daily maintenance activities, balancing preventive, predictive, and corrective work to support safe, reliable operations.

Manage and develop maintenance technicians, setting clear priorities, coordinating workloads, and strengthening troubleshooting capabilities.

Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to schedule work, track equipment history, manage spare parts, and monitor maintenance performance.

Oversee troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of mechanical and electrical equipment, including motors, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and production machinery.

Support PLC fault diagnosis and coordinate control-system repairs with qualified personnel.

Direct mechanical maintenance, welding, fabrication, and equipment installation activities in accordance with safety and quality requirements.

Investigate recurring equipment failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement lasting corrective actions.

Manage maintenance budgets, contractor relationships, spare-parts availability, and service requirements.

Partner with engineering and operations teams on equipment upgrades, reliability improvements, and continuous improvement projects.

Maintain safe working practices, including lockout/tagout, and ensure maintenance work complies with applicable regulations and site procedures.

Qualifications

5+ years of relevant maintenance experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environment, including experience leading maintenance teams or coordinating maintenance operations.

Practical experience with CMMS platforms, maintenance planning, work orders, and equipment maintenance records.

Strong hands-on knowledge of machine maintenance technician practices, mechanical maintenance, pneumatics, conveyors, industrial equipment, motors, welding, PLC troubleshooting, and electrical maintenance, or equivalent technical skills.

Proven ability to diagnose equipment faults, reduce unplanned downtime, and improve asset reliability.

Experience supervising technicians, managing contractors, and coordinating maintenance priorities across departments.

Sound understanding of industrial safety requirements and safe mechanical and electrical maintenance practices.

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to team development and continuous improvement.

A relevant qualification in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related technical discipline is preferred; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
