Job Details
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced finance operations leader to oversee a global outsourced finance shared services organization and drive operational excellence across core accounting functions. Reporting to the VP & Corporate Controller, this role focuses on governance, performance management, internal controls, and continuous improvement rather than hands-on, high-volume transaction processing.
The ideal candidate brings experience managing outsourced finance operations within a public-company environment, along with a strong understanding of SOX compliance, process optimization, and service provider performance.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee an outsourced finance shared services organization supporting approximately 20–25 offshore professionals.
Serve as the primary liaison with the external service provider, managing performance, staffing, service levels, and operational effectiveness.
Provide oversight across accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash application, account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close support.
Establish and monitor KPIs, operational scorecards, and service-level agreements (SLAs) to drive accountability and service quality.
Strengthen internal controls, SOX compliance, segregation of duties, and audit readiness.
Identify opportunities to improve workflows, automate processes, and increase efficiency across finance operations.
Partner with Accounting, Treasury, FP&A, IT, Internal Audit, and other business leaders to support organizational goals.
Lead and develop an internal FinOps / Controls Analyst.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
8–12+ years of progressive experience in accounting operations or finance.
Experience overseeing outsourced finance shared services, global business services, or third-party BPO providers.
Background in a publicly traded company with a strong understanding of SOX and internal controls.
Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is preferred.
Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and process improvement skills.
- CPA designation is a plus.
