Associate Attorney

$100000 - $150000 per year | Dallas, TX | On-site | Permanent

Join a growing PI Firm in Dallas!

A bit about us:

A well-established, full-service regional law firm is seeking a mid-level Associate to join its litigation team, focusing on general liability and insurance defense matters. This is an opportunity to handle substantive litigation work at a firm with a broad commercial practice and strong institutional client relationships.

Why join us?

Our client is a well-established, full-service law firm with multiple offices across Texas, known for a broad commercial practice spanning litigation, corporate, real estate, and specialty practice areas. Built over decades as a trusted partner to businesses, financial institutions, and insurers across the state, we combine the depth of a larger firm with a collaborative, team-oriented culture.

Why Join Us

Substantive litigation work: real ownership of matters, not just support work, with genuine trial and deposition exposure

Strong institutional platform: established client relationships and a well-regarded regional brand, without the bureaucracy of a mega-firm

Collaborative culture: work alongside experienced litigators in a supportive team environment rather than being siloed

Competitive compensation and benefits: market-competitive salary, performance-based bonus potential, and a comprehensive benefits package

Growth trajectory: a firm that invests in developing associates toward long-term partnership-track careers

Job Details

Manage a caseload of general liability and insurance defense matters from investigation through resolution, including trucking, premises liability, products liability, and related third-party claims

Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery, including written discovery and dispositive motions

Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts

Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and trial as needed

Coordinate with insurance carriers and adjusters on case strategy, status reporting, and reserve/exposure evaluation

Conduct legal research and prepare case evaluations and litigation reports for clients and carriers

What We're Looking For

J.D. from an accredited law school; licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas

3–5 years of civil litigation experience, ideally with direct general liability or insurance defense exposure

Demonstrated experience with depositions, motion practice, and discovery

Strong legal writing and research skills

Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented litigation group

Prior insurance defense firm experience strongly preferred
