Original job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Webflow Developer based in the United States.
In this role, you will lead the development and technical architecture of high-performance websites and web applications, transforming creative concepts into scalable digital experiences. You will work at the intersection of visual design and front-end engineering, translating complex Figma designs into responsive, pixel-perfect Webflow implementations. Your responsibilities will span custom development, CMS architecture, third-party integrations, and advanced interactions. You will also establish technical standards, optimize website performance, and ensure accessibility and search engine readiness. Working closely with designers, product managers, and growth teams, you will help deliver innovative digital solutions that support business objectives. This is an opportunity to take technical ownership, influence development best practices, and build sophisticated web experiences in a collaborative, remote environment.
Accountabilities:
• Lead the architecture, development, and maintenance of high-performance, scalable, and fully responsive websites using Webflow.
• Translate detailed Figma designs into pixel-perfect web experiences while ensuring consistency, usability, and responsiveness across devices.
• Build modular and maintainable Webflow projects using standardized class-naming methodologies and design frameworks such as Finsweet Client-First, BEM, or Relume.
• Design and manage advanced Webflow CMS architectures, including complex content collections, multi-reference relationships, dynamic content structures, and conditional filtering systems.
• Develop custom functionality using clean, modular HTML5, CSS/SCSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+) to extend the capabilities of the Webflow platform.
• Integrate Webflow websites with external databases, authentication systems, APIs, webhooks, and marketing tools, including Supabase, Memberstack, Zapier, Make, HubSpot, and Google Analytics 4.
• Create engaging and performant website interactions and animations using Webflow Interactions, GSAP, and native CSS animations.
• Optimize website performance, loading speed, asset delivery, and Core Web Vitals across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Implement technical SEO best practices, including semantic HTML, structured data and schema markup, metadata, Open Graph tags, and dynamic sitemap configurations.
• Establish and maintain development standards covering design system tokens, reusable components, style guides, asset optimization, and code quality.
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
• Ensure websites meet accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1 AA requirements.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and growth engineers to refine designs, implement new features, and deliver rapid development iterations.
• Identify opportunities to improve development workflows, website architecture, scalability, and overall technical performance.
Requirements:
• At least 4 years of professional front-end web development experience, including a minimum of 3 years building and maintaining production-grade Webflow websites.
• Advanced knowledge of the Webflow ecosystem, including Webflow Designer, CMS collections, Symbols and Components, custom form handling, and website configuration.
• Strong proficiency in modern CSS, including Flexbox, CSS Grid, custom properties, and responsive units, as well as semantic HTML5 and vanilla JavaScript.
• Demonstrated experience implementing structured Webflow development methodologies, particularly Finsweet Client-First and/or Relume standards.
• Hands-on experience developing custom scripts and integrating REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party services into Webflow websites.
• Strong understanding of technical SEO, structured data, web accessibility standards, and website performance optimization, particularly Core Web Vitals.
• Proven ability to debug and resolve front-end issues across major browsers, including Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, as well as mobile platforms such as iOS and Android.
• Working knowledge of Figma, including design systems, Auto Layout, variable modes, and asset export workflows.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex design requirements into practical and scalable technical solutions.
• Excellent attention to detail, particularly regarding visual accuracy, code quality, responsiveness, and user experience.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of technical projects, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts and development decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Nice to have: Experience with Finsweet Attributes, Wized, and Relume Library.
• Nice to have: Experience with headless architectures, reverse proxies, or hybrid development environments combining Webflow with Next.js or React.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with database configuration and user authentication workflows using Supabase, Airtable, or Firebase.
• Nice to have: Experience with programmatic page generation, large-scale localized landing pages, and dynamic sitemap management.
Benefits:
• Fully remote working arrangement within the United States.
• Full-time employment opportunity.
• Opportunity to take ownership of complex web development projects and influence technical architecture.
• Exposure to modern web technologies, advanced integrations, and innovative digital development workflows.
• Opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including UI/UX designers, product managers, and growth specialists.
• Professional development opportunities through hands-on experience with emerging tools, frameworks, and Webflow technologies.
• Collaborative environment encouraging technical excellence, creativity, and continuous improvement.
