Senior Project Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Project Manager based in the United States.

The Senior Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of large-scale software development projects within a SaaS environment. This role combines strategic project management with strong technical expertise to ensure complex initiatives meet business objectives. You will oversee cross-functional teams, manage resources and project timelines, and ensure delivery within scope and budget. Working closely with engineering, product, and design teams, you will translate business priorities into effective technical solutions. You will also play a key role in stakeholder engagement, risk management, quality assurance, and continuous process improvement. You will take ownership of critical software development initiatives from initial planning through final delivery, ensuring strong execution, technical alignment, and stakeholder satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include:

Develop and implement comprehensive project plans covering scope, objectives, timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and risk management.

Lead and coordinate large, cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Provide technical guidance and expertise to project teams, promoting software development best practices and sound architectural decisions.

•

Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design teams to define technical requirements and align project deliverables with business objectives.

•

Communicate project progress, risks, challenges, and key decisions clearly to senior management, clients, and internal stakeholders.

•

Manage stakeholder expectations and build strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle to ensure high levels of satisfaction.

•

Oversee quality assurance, testing, and validation processes to ensure software solutions are reliable, scalable, secure, and compliant with relevant standards.

•

Identify opportunities to improve project management workflows and software development processes.

•

Monitor industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve project delivery and operational efficiency.

Requirements

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience managing complex software development projects, a strong technical foundation, and excellent leadership capabilities. The following qualifications are expected:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.

•

At least 8 years of project management experience within the software development industry, including 4 or more years in a senior project management position.

•

Previous experience managing large-scale SaaS projects is strongly preferred.

•

Strong technical background, with hands-on experience in software development, architecture, and relevant technologies.

•

Proven ability to manage complex projects from initial planning through successful completion.

•

Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

•

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a detail-oriented and structured approach.

•

Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Asana.

•

Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.

•

PMP, PRINCE2, or an equivalent project management certification is an advantage.

•

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, as well as DevOps practices, is highly desirable.

Ability to lead distributed teams and collaborate effectively across different functions and geographical regions.
